Fundamentals of Acting

4 Weeks, 4 Classes
Thursdays | June 9th – June 30rd, 2022
7pm – 9:30pm ET/ 4pm – 6:30pm PT
Tuition: $225

“Growth as an actor and growth as a human being are synonymous”. This ideal sits at the core of this Fundamentals of Acting course. Why does the art of acting speak to you? What is the job description of an actor? What does it mean to breathe life into words that are not your own? And what is it to recreate the human experience and how does your humanity filter through a character? This is the process we will investigate in this 4 week course. Let’s grow.

In this 4 week course you will experience a sampler platter of Stella Adler’s practice by investigating the core principles of the Adler acting technique through classic exercises and modern script work. Each student will have opportunities for individual feedback in class and some individual outside work will be required (approximately 1-1.5 hours a week).

This class is open to all! The instructor aims to meet student’s needs by creating an inclusive & accessible virtual space. Please communicate any access needs you may have to her via email (caitlyn@stellaadler.com) prior to the beginning of the course and she will do her best to meet those needs.
