UPDATE: (3/23/2020) The Summer Conservatory will now begin on Monday, July 6, 2020, instead of the previously scheduled June 1. The delayed start date is offered in an effort to offer actors a chance to pursue their summer training plans while observing the important social distancing measures advised by the authorities. The program will now run for 6 weeks with 32 hours of classes per week.
The Summer Conservatory (Summer Program) is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theater (NAST) and approved by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education of California(BPPE). For more information on NAST, Click here. For more information on the BPPE, Click here.
The Summer Conservatory is a 6-week, foundation-building course which approximates a full term of our Conservatory Program. Classes include Acting Technique, Improvisation, Scene Study, Shakespeare, Movement, On-Camera and Voice & Speech. The program begins with an orientation and ends with a presentation of contemporary and classical scene work. We find the growth demonstrated by the end of the ten weeks palpable, deeply encouraging and an affirmation of our mission. This is a six-week, 32-hours-per-week intensive.
