Actor’s Who want to Direct class with Nancy Malone

The Art of Acting Studio is proud to announce this amazing class with Acclaimed Actress and Director Nancy Malone.

Tuesday, April 24th, 2012, 7:30 – 10:30

In this class, Mrs. Malone will coach actors on scenes and her process as a director, show footage from TV shows & movies, discuss why director’s made their choices, and talk about the world of directing.

Nancy Malone Bio

Born in Queens Village, Long Island, New York, Nancy Malone began her career at age seven. At fifteen, she made her Broadway debut as ‘Ginger’, costarring Melvyn Douglas in Time Out For Ginger . Along with her work in theatre, she also starred in the groundbreaking and award winning series, “Naked City,” for which she received an Emmy Nomination for Best Actress. In 1971, Nancy transitioned from acting to directing and producing. She worked for both Tomorrow Entertainment and 20th Century Fox, and was appointed the first woman VP at a major studio. She co-founded Women in Film and established Lilac Productions, through which she won an Emmy for co-producing, Bob Hope: The First 90 Years. As a DGA director, she has directed multiples of “Melrose Place,” “Dynasty,” “Beverly Hills 90210,” “Dawson’s Creek,” “Judging Amy,” and “The Guardian” among others. She is also a member of the Actor’s Studio, and studied with Stella Adler.
