Gabriela Garcia is a theater arts educator, actor, business owner dedicated to teaching performing artists of all skill levels the techniques of the classics and physical theater approaches to the craft of acting. Her professional credits have gained contiguous experience in physical & intimate training, lucid body techniques, writing, directing and media & event producing. At AOA, Los Angeles she is Head of the Movement Department and teaches Mask, Advanced Moment techniques for actors and directs productions throughout the academic year. Her approach to the classroom is based in Grotowski, Lecoq, Checkhov and Ensemble work. Regional house credits include: The Mark Taper Forum, The Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Wallis Annenburg Center for Performing Arts, Pittsburgh’s August Wilson Cultural Center, Musée du Quia Branly in Paris, France, National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing, China and more. Independent film credits have screened at Berlinale, San Diego International, SXSW and stream on major platforms such as Amazon Prime. She’s also booked numerous regional and national commercials. Gabriela received a BFA in Acting from AMDA College & Conservatory of the Performing Arts and an MFA in Theater Arts from USC’s School of Dramatic Arts. She spends her spare time with her dog, Buddy Falkor, and towards the building of her media, film and event production company based in the High Desert. Her hopes are to bring commerce, community affection and art to her hometown whilst working towards the production of original content, narrative feature length scripts and new media.
