Debra Wasser has been a dedicated supporter of Edwin Gould Services for Children for many years. In addition to co-chairing the ARTrageous projects with her husband Gregg Wasser, she has donated her time to mentoring teenage foster girls. She assists them with their educational needs and provides with financial assistance. For the past six years Mrs. Wasser has also nurtured other underprivileged youth by organizing the annual “Toys For Children” drive which provides over 15,000 toys to children in Mount Vernon and Port Chester. The toys are personally distributed to the children at a huge holiday celebration complete with a large tree lighting ceremony.
Mrs. Wasser takes a grass roots approach to helping children by focusing on those in our community and emphasizing aid to local organizations including March of Dimes, Boys and Girls Club, The Women’s Project in addition to serving on the board for The Stella Adler Foundation.
Mrs. Wasser is a Southern California native and she earned her BS Degree at the University of Arizona. She hosted a radio show for ten years and worked in television broadcasting. Mrs. Wasser is the proud mother of two boys, Alec and Skyler, who often participate in their mother’s charitable endeavors and serve on the “ARTrageous” Kids Committee.
