Online Acting Workshops for Teens (Ages 14–18)
Online courses for the serious young actor (ages 14–18) no matter where you are in the world! Study with AOA’s sister school, the Stella Adler Studio remotely through live Zoom sessions. Online classes are open to both US Residents and International Actors.
ACTING TECHNIQUE 1
6 Weeks, 2 Hours/Week | Saturdays | Tuition: $240

This Stella Adler® program explores the language and principles of Stella Adler’s approach to acting, including action, circumstance, and justification, rooted in the power of the imagination. Young artists will develop a foundation from which to build themselves as actors as well as human beings.

This Stella Adler® program is a deeper investigation of the concepts introduced in Acting Technique 1, including action, circumstance, and justification, rooted in the power of the imagination. Actors will strengthen what they have learned in Acting Technique I through additional exercises developed by Stella Adler.

SCENE STUDY
6 Weeks, 3 Hours/Week | Saturdays | Tuition $360
May 7-June 18 (skipping May 28) | 11:00-2:00 PM (ET)
Utilizing contemporary texts, students expand the core skills required of actors by connecting to one’s partner through objectives, relationships, and script analysis. While primarily focusing on scene work, exercises are implemented as well.

Musical Audition Required
This course can be added on to the Teen Summer Conservatory as it does not conflict with other classes or it can be taken by itself.
The Musical Theater Teen Workshop gives young actors a chance to explore Musical Theater interpretation and performance as well as songs useful in auditions. Technical coaching such as appropriate songs to sing, breath support for both sound and interpretation, the arc of the song’s story, and how to act a musical scene are all integral to the program.
How to Apply to Workshops
New Students:
Admission to the Teen Online Courses is by entrance interview with the Director of Teen Programs. Applicants must be 14-18 years of age. To schedule an interview, please complete a Teen Online Courses Application Form first. Once the application is received, the administration will contact you to schedule an interview appointment. There is no commitment made when submitting the form.
